Kulwinder Dhillion, R.I.P, a truly great vocalist.
The world of Bhangra music was rocked yesterday as news filtered through of the death of Punjabi singer, Kulwinder Dhillon, who passed away at the young age of 32, on 19thMarch 2006
The singer was involved in a fateful car accident.
Kulwinder Dhillon gave the Bhangra world one of the biggest songs of 2003, Kal Kitte Mil, which went on to become a worldwide hit, coming from the hit album, Changes.
We will never know how big he could have been, once compared to the late great Surjit Bindrakhia, Kulwinder Dhillon certainly had all the attributes to go on to become a true great. His death will be mourned by all Bhangra fans worldwide, as another talented and skilled singer passes us without truly fulfilling his great potential.
Our thoughts here at SimplyBhangra are with the family of Kulwinder Dhillon, and may his legacy be remembered forever as a great Punjabi vocalist.
May he rest in peace.
