MR Records take us back in time, to 1987 with the release of the Original Album Gajre Chhanak Pae by the AZAAD group. The album has never been released on the digital platforms!

After releasing 15 albums spanning over 21 years, Azaad were at the forefront of the live band-scene during the 80’s & 90’s. The group consisted off : Parminder Reyet (vocals), Harbans (vocals), Kash (vocals), Clive (guitar), Hardeep (keyboards), Amarjit (drums) & Harjit (dholki).

In the 80's & 90's they produced some of the Greatest Love Songs ever. Their signature one ballad on each Bhangra Album became a favorite amongst Music lovers.

Gajre Chhanak Pae was recorded by the Legendary band Azaad in 1987. The 80’s period is now regarded as the golden age of modern Punjabi music. A handful of bands revolutionised the Bhangra scene and Azaad were at the forefront of this creative period.

With music in collaboration with the Legendary music maestro Charanjit Ahuja, this iconic album has become an important milestone in the history of Bhangra music in the UK. This album is essential for all serious collectors of classic Bhangra and music lovers everywhere.
