Sona Walia who is about to release her new album, Kuri Punjaban, recently won an award at a ceremony held on 24th March 2010 at the 'HOUSE OF COMMONS', Parliament, LONDON.

Presented by Mr Virendra Sharma (MP) on the behalf of the 'PANJABIS IN BRITAIN ALL PARTY PARLIMENTARY GROUP' in recognition of her contribution towards the culture through her music and singing.

hey ppl if u can't stand out then for god sake try to appreciate the artists.Why u ppl always believe in leg pulling?If u read carefully firstly this award is for the artists who contributed towards punjabi culture,can u tell me Mr.Bhangra Man how many other female singers r there in britain who is currently contributing towards punjabi culture and folk music?if its the matter of the politics and region then why Sukhi Bart and DCS Shin were awarded.IF U CAN'T DO THEN TRY TO LEARN APPRECIATING.

What rubbish. Who the hell is she. She is not a very famous Bhangra singer. Its all political shit man. Mr. Sharma is from Ealing Borough so its understood. Connections man. I think rest of the Bhangra singers should start selling Aaloo Gobhi
