Panjabi Hit Squad sign to Universal Music India

The masters of sound, Panjabi Hit Squad continue to make waves across the world as they sign to Universal Music India. Their current album “World Famous” has received critical acclaim in the UK and attracted the attention of the Indian powerhouse.

The award winning duo have worked with the likes of Raghav, Krishna (Maula Mere from the film Chak De India), Richa Sharma (Sajada from My Name Is Khan), Saini Surinder, Jaspinder Narula, Female rapper Scandalous and Quwaali royalty Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.

The album’s lead single “Dil Mera” featuring Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has had phenomenal success in the UK, reaching Number 1 on the Official Asian Download Charts and topping over 1.5 Million YouTube Views. The duo are also preparing the release of their forthcoming track “Electo Mahiya” featuring Javed Bashir , set for release on 28th June 2013.

In addition to this their inflight radio show which is carried by Emirates Airlines has become a staple for the carrier and won rave reviews.

The new deal with Universal India shows their intent to continue to break barriers and ensure that their unique blend of musical styles is heard by a wide and varied audience.
