The talented young producer Storm DJ is set to release his exciting debut single, a move which will thrill his army of fans across the globe.

Storm DJ is preparing to release his debut single this month, marking a huge stage in the career of production, compositions and arrangements. Storm DJ, who lives in Bedford, UK, has just put the final touches to the DEBUT single, and is now preparing for the imminent release that will hopefully build upon his fan base and get his music heard by more people than ever.

The single titled ‘Nazar’, consists of fresh and innovative sounds capturing creativity and vibrant new music, with the single providing a combination of high-energy guitar playing, melodious vocals and heartfelt lyrics. The rhythmic undercurrent bears testament to the Tumbi (a traditional punjabi folk instrument), and the music is punctuated throughout with elements of Bhangra, hip-hop, jazz, pop and R&B.

The album was recorded at TRG Music Studio’s in the UK, and its creation was supported by musicians who have been associated with DCS, The Loft Experience and Storm DJ’s Roadshow. It was produced and mixed by Storm DJ in collaboration with Steve Ajit (Project Asia) and mastered by Sukhi Chand @ Karisma Studios Records, Birmingham, the man behind some of the finest work in the bhangra industry.

The theme of the single and forthcoming singles underlies the changes that Storm DJ has gone through over recent years, the biggest of which being the switch from DJ to Producer. It was this that allowed him to thrive off the new opportunities presented to him, to explore fresh sounds and develop his musical style.

Nazar’ reveals the stunning array of influences that have found their way into Storm DJ’s music. Whilst his grounding came in traditional Indian Classical music – he began to get himself known whilst playing in the finest venues throughout the UK, were his unique style of entertaining crowds was successfully promoted – he was always keen to bring something unique to a traditional sound. For this reason, his emphasis on heavy Bass Lines has been enhanced by his ability to play other instruments including the Tabla, Dholak, Dhol and Tumbi.

Storm DJ has said of his work: “I was brought up in a very musical family. My Father and brothers were very gifted musicians and were trained in the art of classical sangeet. Thus, my parents would always expose me to a wealth of music as a child. Although I learnt a lot of instruments as I was growing up, it wasn’t until I was 16 that I actually showed an interest in developing music and began to DJ; and this was a real changing point for me.

“Since then, my style has developed and I’ve incorporated other sounds and genres which have all made their way into ‘Nazar’. The single is a reflection of my influences over the years and the changes that I’ve experienced throughout my life.”

With a vast array of music Storm DJ’s CD collection takes up an entire room as Storm DJ refuses to restrict his influences to one particular genre. Instead, he has been influenced by numerous artists and genres of music from across the globe, including: Notorious BIG, Bob Marley, Sardool Sikander, Sabar Koti, Stevie Wonder amongst many others.
