Navin Kundra - Love Thing Video Teaser

As an artist, Niraj developed his skills while working with Mark Hill (Artful Dodger and Craig David), but first made a name for himself with his work on the Outcaste label, where he was spotted by Nitin Sawhney. His ability to mix modern production with western and eastern classical styles was displayed on the critically acclaimed album 'New Breeds'. Following this Niraj had two top ten hits in Asia with his group Dum Dum Project and co-wrote and produced for pop group Liberty X.

As well as his stand-alone work, Niraj has built a reputation as a unique soundtrack composer. He created his first musical (Baiju Bawra) aged 25. His work since then has included Mahabharata (BBC Radio 4) the Bafta nominated 'Power of Art' series (BBC2) and the 2008 TV series 'The Age of Terror'.

Niraj has produced a wide variety of original work for dance productions, such as ‘Awaz’, 'Bells' and 'Daredevas' (Akademi), TV and radio such as HBO’s ‘Sex and the City’ and for plays, including the recent Olivier Award winning ‘Rafta, Rafta’ (Royal National Theatre). With the 'Reel Bollywood' project Niraj toured the country running workshops for young people and most recently he put together an eclectic score for the official Olympic Torch event on London's South Bank featuring 600 vocalists, opera singers and a 40-piece brass band.

With his 2006 album Along the Dusty Road Niraj earned plaudits for his unique take on Asian classical and folk styles. The album resulted in major airplay and two BBC-supported live sessions – a recording at Maida Vale and an atmospheric live set at Roundhouse as part of the Electric Proms. Niraj ended a rollercoaster 2007 by picking up best Asian Underground act at the UK Asian Music Awards.

He is currently at work on the follow-up album, enjoy the glimpses of the forthcoming music video for the new single, 'Love Thing', full video coming soon.
