Every month SimplyBhangra.com will be looking back at the songs released in the past month and giving you some of our top songs of the month. Here are some of our top songs of August 2018!
August was a very successful year for artists in the UK. Starting with ‘In Demand’ which is produced by Manni Sandhu and vocals by a new artist from India Navaan Sandhu. As we have seen in the past Manni is not afraid of working with new artists to showcase their talent is this very competitive market. And Navaan being a new vocalist, his confidence in the video and vocal range shows he has a lot more to bring in the future.
After a huge success of the track ‘Pomp Pomp Tha Music,’ JK and Tru Skool are back with ‘Shindeh Di Tape’ which really bought back the old skool feeling. Besides the great teamwork between the two, the title in itself made people eagerly wait for the release.
Daljit Mattu is known for his hits tracks such as ‘Koke Da Chamkara,’ ‘Captain Bhangre Da’ and ‘Drama Queen.’ There are many artists that have back-to-back releases but is the quality still there? There are a few artists in the industry that take quality as a priority over quantity and Daljit is certainly one of them. After being away from the industry for a few years he brings back a banger with Tindy and Rixx entitled ‘Yaari.’ With a hip-hop vibe and strong beats this dancefloor tracks have definitely bought back memories.
With a collaboration of Canada, UK, India and the addition of a rap, DJ Harv and Harj Nagra released ‘3 Saal.’ The vocals are by Raman Gill featuring Rush Toor. The romantic track illustrates a story about how much a boy loves a girl for some time however the girl is not aware.
‘Pta Ni Ki Hogeya’ by Harjit Harman and Mannat Noor, who were recently in the UK, is from the forthcoming Punjabi movie ‘Kurmaiyan’ which a very nice romantic song with lovely vocals and lyrics penned by Bachan Bedil. ‘Lanedarniye’ is the second song from the film by Gurnam Bhullar which released a few days ago. The film will be releasing on 14th September 2018.
And ‘Tere Naal Viahi’ by Gurpeet Maan took everyone by surprise as it reached very high on the iTune charts. If you haven’t heard of his name in the past he has sang ‘Janjhan’ from the film Lahoriye’ and releasing an album entitled ‘Haye Ni Haye.’ This dancefloor track is a perfect song for couples and the everyday little arguments they have.
