‘Punjabi Munde’ the debut single by Bal Balkar, set to release 9th May via iTunes!

Having grown up in the UK, Bal Balkar has a unique introduction into music. From the age of 10, Bal Balkar was able to go on stage and perform with the likes of Golden Star, The late Kuldeep Manak & Apna Sangeet. At the tender age of 13, Bal Balkar was approached by UK Bhangra pioneer Amarjit Sidhu to record a debut album. However, this album never came to fruition due to education commitments. From this moment onwards Bal Balkar continued to keep a keen interest in music, however never got the opportunity to finally step back into the studio.

In 2013, Bal Balkar teamed back up with old friend Jinder Parwana (of Parwana Sangeet group) to re-establish his musical path. It was alongside Jinder Parwana where the single ‘Punjabi Munde’ was picked and work soon began to lay down the musical foundations for this up-beat contemporary single.

‘Punjabi Mundey’ has been co-produced by Bal Balkar alongside Coventry’s DJ Rix at the famous Planet Studios, Coventry.

Punjabi Munde will be officially releasing via iTunes on 9th May!
