Roots is the latest album by UK producer and DJ Dips. Released on 19 April 2026, it is presented by Royal Music Gang and is designed to revive the authentic essence of traditional Punjabi music through nostalgic desi influences and soulful vocals.

DJ Dips has shifted away from the typical commercial sound, exploring deep folk percussion and traditional instruments instead. The album is described as ‘Authentic’ because it avoids heavily processed beats, choosing instead for raw, soulful arrangements. Even with five different vocalists, the album feels like a united journey through Punjabi musical heritage.

The album includes five primary tracks, each blending traditional lyrics with DJ Dips' signature production:

Piche Hatt: Performed by Miss Pooja; lyrics by Vicky Sandhu.

Jija Saali: Performed by Angrez Ali; lyrics by Binder Thigliwala. This was the first music video released from the album on 20 April 2026.
