A blend of UK funky dance beats and Desi Bhangra - ‘Botalan De Dutt’ is the debut single from upcoming talent Lil Amit featuring the vocals of Panjab’s Surinder Laddi.

Lil Amit’s popularity as a DJ has been continuously intensifying over the last few years and has taken this young talent across the country. Part of West London based Divine Musiq, Lil Amit has been DJing for seven years, yet is one of the youngest on the scene. Audiences are always pleasantly surprised by his musical knowledge, technical skills and ability to entertain, making him a much demanded DJ and host.

As a full-time DJ who thrives on entertaining crowds, Lil Amit is now taking his passion for all things music a step further. Knowing exactly what to play when is something Lil Amit excels at, continuously pleasing the crowd with his musical choices and mixes. Seeing how songs by other producers and artists that he was playing created a fever on the dance floor, got him thinking about creating something of his own. Working with several studios Lil Amit has been putting together his ideas and musical expertise to deliver his own tunes.

First track to be released is ‘Botalan De Dutt’ an upbeat dance number particularly for the lads. Often mixing Bhangra numbers with House and Dance tracks during his sets, Lil Amit decided to interlace the two genres on this one song. The song features the vocals of Surinder Laddi who is extremely popular in Panjab however is more commonly known for traditional and real desi numbers. This is the first UK track the vocalist has recorded. Lil Amit met Surinder at a wedding where both were performing. Striking up a friendship over music, the two decided to work together. Combining Surinder’s robust voice and Lil Amit’s funky melodies and beats, the result is an infectious east meets west fusion - ‘Botalan De Dutt’.

Available on iTunes now, ‘Botalan De Dutt’ is the first of many musical treats to look forward to from Lil Amit.
