We. Bake. Sounds: Take bold concepts/lyrics, add a spoonful of synths, and season with South Asian elements you've now got the recipe for RaOol.

RaOol (pronounced Ra-Ool) are a London based urban dance duo consisting of Australian rapper/songwriter D.Wunder and DJ/producer Macks Wolf hailing from the North of England.

Coming from different backgrounds and artistic influences, the two met over Myspace in 2009 and created a mash-up of their individual styles: D.Wunders predominately hip-hop and Macks Wolf's dance/electronic. "From an early age we were both listening to the same sorts of classics that everyone does: MJ, The Beatles, Bob Marley, Tupac, Dr.Dre but we had separate acts that we were also passionate about."

D.Wunder cites some of his main influences as Chilli Peppers, Coldplay, Linkin Park, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and lyrical emcees such as Eminem, Nas and Jay-Z. Macks Wolf's main influences include The Prodigy, BT, Mauro Picotto & Ferry Corsten.

When asked whether their difference in backgrounds presented a challenge, the answer was a resounding No. "We shared a passion for big sounds and melody and a mentality that we wanted our material to stand true to who we were, without persuasion from what's happening around us; just like Rahul Dev (RD) Burman did in his time - the legend from whom our name originates."

Whilst their sound is embedded in the urban dance arena, their aim is to keep it ever evolving. "The only thing you can be sure of is that our songs will always be a reflection of us and so the music we create serves as a door to our mind, our thoughts and our imagination."
