The Bhangra industry is about to get a much needed shock now that new artist Prem Singh has exploded on the scene with the release of his new single ‘Shaal Marke’ Produced by Vigo Brasco Vish, who blends hip hop and desi folk with amazing results.

Prem Singh, having worked with the Artful Dodger (now called Artful) gained massive popularity with the garage version of this track and having the backing of major DJs such as BBC Radio 1’s Nihal , DJ Kayper , Sonny Ji and  EZ.

The UK based singer now signed to Brown Knight Records, has been singing for seven years now and will be concentrating on his debut album in 2013. He comes from a family of singers who have guided him throughout his career both with training and song writing. His main inspirations are legends such as, Kuldip Manak, Surinder Shinda, Amar Singh Chamkila and Nusfrat Fateh Ali Khan.

Prem Singh and Vigo Brasco Vish represent a new breed of bhangra artists who are now bringing their own flavour and sound towards the scene. The debut video will be out on Brit Asia on 29th October and the single will be unleashed on iTunes on November 1st.
