The original Don Raja and International reggae sensation APACHE INDIAN brings you “Home Run” - an album of collaborations featuring four brand new tracks out now on itunes!

Home Run - Apache Indian

Born into a family of Indian origins, Steven Kapur a.k.a. Apache Indian grew up in Handsworth, West Midlands- an area with large Asian communities, home of reggae bands such as Steel Pulse. After cutting his teeth toasting in U.K. dancehalls, Apache Indian began to release singles in the early '90s and achieved three number 1’s in both the Reggae and Asian charts! With the collaboration of his cousins Simon & Diamond (Diamond aka DJ Swami), he introduced the new hybrid sound of bhangra raggamuffin - also known as bhangramuffin - to the world with his first album No Reservations ” . It was followed by “Make Way for the Indian” (produced by Sly & Robbie, The Press, Mafia & Fluxy, Pandit Dinesh and Chris Lane), which featured rapper Tim Dog and spawned the hit, "Boom Shack-A-Lak"

The "Don Raja" began to increase his International exposure by touring the world performing massive sold out concerns across India & Asia, Europe, Canada & America. Apache performed at Reggae Japansplash in '94 and '95.

He came up with 'Real People' in 1998, 'Karma' in 2001, 'Time for Change' and 'Sadhu -The Movement' in 2006/7 as well as collaborated with various artists across the globe.

Apache was the first asian artist to perform at Reggae Japansplash in '94 and again in '95 alongside artists such as Chaka Demus and Pliers, Shaggy, Frankie Paul, Yami Bolo, Beenie Man, The I Threes and many more.

He has also collaborated with Indian artists like A. R. Rahman, Asha Bhosle ,Malkit Singh to name a few.

§ 7 British top 40 hits,

§ 4 Brit Awards Nominations,

§ Ivor Norvello Award and the International Dance Award 1995,

§ Apache Indian was the first Asian artist to have his very own show on National Radio One (UK) and presented MTV Reggae Sound System from Kingston, Jamaica,

§ Apache also presented a one-off special radio show called 'Karma Confusion' which won a CRE Award in 1998,

§ His big hit single Boomshackalak has been featured in over 75 International TV commercials as well as 7 Hollywood films including 'Dumb & Dumber' & 'Scooby Doo 2'

“Home Run” – the album contains 11 tracks featuring 4 brand new collaborations. The lead track “Gabroo” - an extremely strong single done in collaboration with none other than the prolific Miss Pooja. The video also features Apache Indian and Miss. Pooja sharing the screen for the first time ever. “Nachle” is out n out dance number which surely going to be club banger. The album includes Apache’s previous hits with A.R. Rahman, Asha Bhosle , Malkit Singh and international reggae sensation Shaggy.
