Growing up in a talented musical family in Nairobi meant that Gupz Saund was always surrounded by different forms of music. His father was a full-time bhangra singer with various bands, and his parents exposed him to a wealth of music as a child, all of which influenced his development.

His first foray into learning an instrument came when he started to play the Tabla aged just 9 years old. Later he began to play Acoustic Drums and Keyboards, which he continued with for eight years before finally picking up the microphone at the age of 17, a decision which he never looked back from.

Deejay Dev's music making skill has taken over the Remix music industry by storm. He’s even given it the term “Electronic Bollywood” since his arrival in 2007. An unstoppable force, his Remixes enjoy frequent airplay on Radio Stations in USA, Dubai, UK, South Africa, Kenya & many more and with over a million Downloads, Deejay Dev is already being reckoned as one of the youngest & talented entertainers alive!
