Bonafide’s Charity Single ‘Jeevay Pakistan’

Manchester duo, Bonafide, have had a busy few months with the release of their summer smash, ‘Galay Lag Ga’ as well as their EP, ‘Came to Party’. However, in the last few weeks Bonafide have turned their attention to the victims of the Pakistan floods which has left the region in complete turmoil. Maz and Ziggy’s first effort to bring awareness to this issue was the charity car wash they took part in, which helped to raise an over whelming £5,000. Working over two days as well as fasting for Ramadan, Bonafide felt it was the right thing to do in order to raise money and awareness for this tragedy.

Giving back that little bit more, Ziggy will be flying to Pakistan to hand over all the money Bonafide and the team have raised.

As if this wasn’t enough, Bonafide are now busy in the studio working on a charity single titled, ‘Jeevay Pakistan’, which interprets ‘Long Live Pakistan’. The track is written and composed by both Maz and Ziggy and produced by established producer Kam Frantic. This will be the first time the boys will be singing in Urdu, connecting to their homeland and reminding people not to forget their roots.

Maz comments, ‘As British Asians living in Britain, we need to remember how millions of people are suffering back home, we need to unite and do everything in our power to help raise awareness about this worthwhile cause and raise as much money as we can for the people of Pakistan. We feel like this is something we need to do, so keep showing us your support’

Bonafide would like to thank all their fans and everyone who has donated to the cause and shown their continuous support.

Make sure you keep your eyes and ears peeled for ‘Jeevay Pakistan’ with an inspiring video to accompany the song, featuring celebrity cameos.
