Fans of Bollywood superstar and international icon Akshay Kumar can catch him perform to a peppy, upbeat number in the title track of his upcoming movie “Gabbar Is Back”. The video of the song, which released earlier this week, features Akshay in a vigilante avatar who is on a mission to track the corrupt and bring justice on behalf of the common man.

The title track ‘Warna Gabbar Aa Jayega’ has vocals by Raftaar. Adding extra zing to the song are catchwords like “Bure Kaam Ka Bura Nateeja, Sudar Ja Saale” and a high-speed montage of select scenes from the film. The song is set against high octane action sequences with an intense-looking Akshay lunging at bad guys at every chance. The track packs a punch with its uber cool retro look.

Prior to the launch of the song, Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and warned his fans in true vigilante style: “Thoda darr ke reh beta…#WarnaGabbarAaJayega! Presenting the title track of Gabbar Is Back! Enjoy!”

Gabbar is a story of a common man, Ajay (Akshay Kumar), wronged by the establishment, who starts the Anti-Corruption Force (ACF) that aims to track down and cease the corrupt strata of society. Gabbar Is Back stars a high profile roster of talent, Akshay Kumar, Sonu Sood and Shruti Hassan in lead roles alongside Prakash Raj and Nikitin Dheer. The film is directed by Krish, written by A. R. Murugadoss and Shiraz Ahmed and produced by veteran filmmaker Bhansali Productions, along with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.

Akshay Kumar was recently spotted taking an auto rickshaw to reach a venue ahead of his movie promotion. The actor was reportedly going for the promotions when his car got stuck in heavy traffic. With no relief in sight, the actor promptly got out of his car and caught an auto rickshaw from the other side. He later tweeted a picture saying, “Sat in a rickshaw today after ages giving an interview while traveling to another interview venue with Shruti! #GabbarIsBack #promotions in full swing!”

An underground vigilante army, a secret identity, an elaborate modus...all of these combined make ‘GABBAR’ — a true hero.
