Rifco Arts is a British Asian theatre company based in Slough. We create theatre which is relevant to and reflective of the South Asian experience in Britain and tour our work througout the country. Our past productions include ‘There’s Something About Simmy’, ‘Meri Christmas’ and ‘The Deranged Marriage.’
Rifco Arts are embarking on the creation of our next big project which will tour the country in 2010. To help create our production we are setting up a Script development team and are looking for talented young people to get involved. We are recruiting young people with an interest in Bhangra and knowledge of British Asian Culture to help shape our project. We welcome applications from Young British Asian men.
The Script development team meet on average twice per month in order to share their views and ideas about the best way to develop our work. Members are encouraged to become an active part of the life of our new production by bringing their ideas about the kind of theatre they want to see, the music they love and the experiences they feel should be represented. Participants involved in this initiative will get the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside Rifco Arts professional creative team, including Artistic Director Pravesh Kumar. This is a voluntary position, which would suit individuals within easy access of Slough.
