In Part 1 of the top male artists in the Punjabi music industry we featured Ammy Virk, for part 2 we feature another great young talent in Ranjit Bawa.
Ranjit Bawa is one of the biggest household names in all of Punjabi music with very many successful single releases. At the young age of 26 he has already released an album which was titled 'Mitti Da Bawa' which featured hit tracks 'Yaari Chandigarh Waliye' which is one of the top Bhangra tracks to dance to at any function as well as the very well written 'Dollar VS Roti'.
Ranjit got the nickname 'Bawa' after singing the Pakistani track 'Bol Miti Deya Baweya' for about 6 years in various competitions he entered into while living in India. Ranjit Bawa's most successful tracks to date include the releases such as 'Tankha', 'Sher Marna', 'Yaari Chandigarh Waliye', 'Jean', 'Meri Sardarniye' and 'Ja Ve Mundeya'.
Not only has he been successful in the Punjabi music industry but he like many others is also moving into the Pollywood industry and acting in the film industry with big name actors and actresses. Ranjit starred in the great film Sarvann which was Priyanka Chopra's debut movie production. He was featured in the film alongside Amrinder Gill and Simi Chahal and played the part of Amreek. Bawa also did the vocals for Sarvann Putt which was featured on that films soundtrack. He has also just announced that his new upcoming film 'Toofan Singh' will be releasing on August 4, 2017.
Most recently Bawa has released 'Kankan' which featured music from Desi Routz, 'Thar' which was produced by Nick Dhammu, Shaadi.com which he worked on with Beat Minister, 'Chal Jindua' which was a remake of the classic track by Hans Raj Hans with Jasmine Sandlas which was used in the 'Jindua' Punjabi film and his newest track 'Baabu Ji' once again with Nick Dhammu.
Ranjit Bawa has a long career ahead of him and if it lives up to what he has done so far in his short career he will be remembered forever along with his hits.
