R.I.P Dalbir Singh Khanpur of Bhujhangy Group UK FEB 1949 - NOV 2008 - In loving memory Dalbir Singh khanpur of Bhujhangy Group.

Dalbir Singh Khanpur (Bhujhangy Group) started performing in the mid sixties in the United Kingdom and released the first EP in 1967 with Bhujhangy Group.  The band has recorded 50 albums in the UK and ‘Chitte Dandan Utte’ was recorded live at Zella Recording Studios in Birmingham and was released by OSA Birmingham in 1982.  The song was sang by Dalbir Singh Khanpur at Asian Song Contest in Birmingham and came in as the 2nd Prize on the day.

Dalbir and Balbir were without any doubt the Pioneers of Bhangra music and the original founders of bhangra in the United Kingdom.

Dalbir Singh Khanpur of Bhujhangy Group UK band based in Smethwick, Birmingham. Celebrating four decades of bhangra music in the UK.  They have been performing and recording bhangra and religious albums since 1967.

They also have been in the Guinness World Book of Records 2001 and 2005 for the pioneers of bhangra music in the U.K.

Both brothers Dalbir Khnapur and Balbir Singh and Bhujhangy Group Members have been singing together for over 41 years; have recorded over 400 song from religious shabads to bhangra music.
