FOJI GILL’s ‘SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH’ MAKES HEADLINES IN INDIA

Having successfully achieved his first official UK No.1 with ‘Bruah’, Foji Gill’s rising success has been picked up by one of the most read papers in the world ‘The Times of India’ in its August 14th publication.

August 12th saw the release of Foji Gill’s 4th single; a tribute to legendary independence figure; ‘Shaheed Bhagat Singh’. To coincide with the release, Foji Gill was interviewed by The Times of India reporter Yudhvir Rana regarding the song, who goes on to describe it as ‘adrenaline pumping’.

The Times of India has the highest circulation numbers among all English-language newspapers in the world, and is read by over 13 million people in India alone, with it is also the most visited newspaper website online, trumping rivals New York Times, Washington Post & The Sun.

Having set a new standard for his previous videos; Foji Gill’s new effort ‘Shaheed Bhagat Singh’ has attracted controversy, having already been banned by certain channels for its candid portrayal of the British Empire and its occupation of India.

Foji Gill is currently preparing for the release of his debut solo album titled ‘Dafa Hoja’, which is set for a September 2010 release on the De-Sai Record label. The album will see a simultaneous CD release across UK, United States, Canada, India & Australia alongside being available via iTunes worldwide.
