PANJABI BY NATURE'S SINGING DEBUT

SOHNI LADGI featuring APACHE INDIAN

EXCLUSIVE ON BREAKDOWN

With the upcoming release of Panjabi By Nature's 'Homegrown' everyone is expecting an album full of massive Bhangra tracks like 'Aashiq' and 'Dancefloor', but there's also a few  unexpected surprises in store.

The hit making producer has taken things to another level on this album and decided to switch sides in the studio and step into the vocal booth for an extra special collaboration with Apache Indian.

'Sohni Lagdi' is a catchy feel good number which further showcases Panjabi By Nature's musical talents. Not only does this young music maker play several instruments and produce massive hits, he now reveals a talent for singing.

"This is something that I have wanted to do for a very very long time! Not only collaborating with an icon of the Asian music scene but also on a more personal level, to produce, compose and sing my own track on what is my biggest project to date. Sohni Lagdi is a song which represents pure happy party vibes.  I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed making it for you all!" Panjabi By Nature.

As well as making his vocal debut on 'Sohni Lagdi', it is also the first time Panjabi By Nature has teamed up with Apache Indian for an ultimate home-grown production. The combination of Apache Indian's Reggae tone and Panjabi By Nature's Bhangra beats and youthful vocals, produces an energetic track that will have people singing along.

Speaking about the collaboration and his appreciation for the producer, Apache Indian says, "I have done a few collabs in my time and I can tell you it was a pleasure to work with PBN, a very talented artist, singer and producer, that works hard to give you the best of what he's got! It was an honour to be on the album, and it's definitely one that people should support as it reflects true young talent from the UK Asian scene, the way it should be! Big respects from me, and i'll definitely be pushing PBN all the way to the top of every chart!!"

You won't have to wait for the album to drop to hear this truly special collaboration. 'Sohni Lagdi' will be getting its first exclusive play on Ameet Chana's Breakdown show on BBC Asian Network this weekend.

So, be sure to tune in to the Breakdown show with Ameet Chana from 12pm this Sunday 22nd February to hear Panjabi By Nature's singing debut on 'Sohni Lagdi' featuring Apache Indian.

BBC Asian Network is available on DAB radio, Sky channel 0119, Freesat 709, Virgin 912, in the West Midlands on 828MW and online at www.bbc.co.uk/asiannetwork

Wow look at all these anonymous people leaving hate on message boards as usual.

Ive listened to the track and like the majority of feedback Ameet received PBN actually sounded good and I agree sounded a little like Tariq Khan. Good vocals, catchy melody and Apache smashed it much more than his standard crucial collaboration lines.

I think it defo is a positive move for PBN. So far Ive heard 3 tracks and all are very good quality.

Homegrown looks like one of the leading albums this year. No doubt about it.

I\'m sure this is not his singing debut! PBN was using the alias Lalli and singing tracks on his own albums back in the day..... i.e the next episode album ??
