Rock Band Cancel Album Release

Pakistani Rock Band Cancel Album Release in India and Pakistan post Mumbai Attacks!

Roxen

Roxen, Pakistan's leading rock band, has delayed the launch of their much-awaited album in India in the light of the recent attacks on Mumbai.

Roxen, currently signed with an Indian audio label, had lined up the release of their debut album in India on December 15. It is said that the album features the original rock version of the successful Tera Mera Rishta Purana track from Mukesh Bhatt's 2007 release, Awarapan.

The band was scheduled to fly to Mumbai for the promotion of the release and concurrently work on some film assignments that they have reportedly signed up.

The band's lead vocalist, Mustafa Zahid (Tera Mera Rishta / To Phir Aao), revealed, "It's not the right time for us to release an album knowing what India has gone through. I would love to take my band across cities in India to do a Peace show and involve members of the film and music community from india with whom I have worked with in the past but that seems difficult at the moment. Therefore, we have delayed the release of the album in India and Pakistan and will announce a re-scheduled date very soon."

He added, "I would like to add that it's not the nations that hate each other but certain political faces and agencies. Terrorists have no religion and it's sad for them to think that jannat is a result of jihad." On a lighter note, he added, "Time is the best healer. Everything will be fine, as both the countries have a purana rishta with each other!"

Akshay Tattoo’s for Mumbai Terror Victims

Instead of writing his thoughts on paper and blogs, King of Bollywood Akshay Kumar has found that his skin is the best place to tattoo a message for the victims of Mumbai Terror attack.

Akshay will sport the tattoo “Everything’s gonna be alright” on his arm, which is a song from his animated movie Jumbo, apparently the entire cast of Jumbo including Dimple Kapadia will be sporting the tattoo.

Navin Shah, who is the CEO of producing company of Jummbo says, “When we were filming this song, we never imagined that it would end up being so appropriate in this situation, but anything that makes people feel good is something we would like to do. The lyrics of the song are appropriate considering what’s happened and the low mood in the country today. Led by Akshay Kumar, everybody without exception, has loved the idea and they actually not only live the thought of it, but will physically put the tattoo on their hands.”

Do you think Akshay’s gesture is great?

Sushmita calls Shahrukh Khan an “Old Man!”

Shahrukh Khan is 43 years old and not to mention very juvenile at heart. Of course his body doesn’t show any signs of aging, however there is one person who feels Shahrukh is an “Oldy!” That’s right, his co-star from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Susmita Sen.

Shahrukh says about his young actresses in films, “They tell me that I am the youngest hero they have worked with. In fact, they say I am younger than the young guys. I work with these young girls without any ulterior motives of seducing them. I have so much love for Kareena, Deepika, Priyanka and Anoushka. Priyanka still does not call me by my name. I had crowned her at a beauty pageant. She tells ‘Sir’ or just begins the conversation without taking my name. Nobody calls me uncle except Sush-mita, she tells me I’m very old!”

Could Shushmita’s statement be right?
