From Leicester, Chan AKA PJD has been giving people the reason to party; his road shows are second to none. His new album ‘Rumours’ out on VIP Records Ltd should have people talking and listening for years. Up to this point in time it’s been a diverse journey which has introduced him to the biggest names in Bhangra and dance music.
In the 90’s If you were a teacher in the East Midlands and wondered where half your class was on a Friday afternoon, you would have found them at a PJD Daytimer.
PJD was a pioneer of the Daytimers and were a great success with Bhangra fans, but not for the schools or collages.

The successes of the first gigs, fed his passion to perform and develop his skills. For some time, he was PMC’s DJ and re-mixer, and traveled the world with his deck skills. A natural progression from touring was events promotion. He held gigs at M.G.M (Nottingham) and Pink Coconut (Derby). This meant organizing the big names from Bhangra, Jungle and Hip Hop. He brought together, the likes of; Jazzy B, Miky Finn, Tim Westwood, Surinder Shinda, Bindrakhia, Dream team, Kuldip Manak and Artful Dodger.

In 1999 the release of the Bhangra Garage album ‘AWOL’ gave him the award for Best New Comers by the UK DJ Awards and was involved with Dru Hill, Sisqo, Sean Paul and DMX gigs.
He has been the DJ for the Kray Twinz on their official tour. This experience took him to new heights and a deep respect for the Twinz, as there work appeals to a wide audience and all races.
As a youth, his influences were on an old skool desi tip, which included; Kuldip Manak, A.S Kang and Surinder Shinda. Hip Hop was a major influence at school. He grew up with Scratch 1 who became the resident at Finesse, DJ Flo (2Funky) DJ Outlaw with old skool Drum and Bass.
PJD is bringing all his experience and influences to his new album ‘Rumours’. He is not shy in coming forward and has the belief and skill to take the Bhangra music scene by storm.
