Deep Cold to release 'The Drip'

'The Drip - Deep Cold' out May, 2011 featuring Kamla Punjabi, Papa Reu, David Banner, Too Short, DJ Sanj and more.

DEEP COLD aka Da 1 has captured the ears of many listeners of many different backgrounds throughout the world. Having spent the first few years of his career in the main stream market, he was able to work with big name artists such as David Banner, Slim Thug, Too Short, and Screwed Up Click (S.U.C.) members - Big Moe RIP, Big Pokey, C-Note, and Jhaime.

His first album IN TRUNKS NOW ( http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/deepbeats2 ) was produced primarily by the Assassinz. On IN TRUNKS NOW Deep Cold featured 3 tracks that had Punjabi mixed with Dirty South Hip Hop.

Introducing dirty south hip hop with Punjabi to the mainstream audience was something that was done unintentional. "I make music that sounds good" is Deep Cold's explanation of bridging the gap between gangsta rap and Bollywood and anything that could possibly fall in between. Venturing out to the UK market Deep Cold made his name with Dekhlo Punjabi Munde.

The track featured Kamla Punjabi who is Deep Cold's childhood friend and label mate. 'Dekhlo Punjabi Munde' was recently featured in the movie 'Mel Karade Rabba'. This song propelled both artists on to the scene and led to their collaboration album 'Nach Nach' ( http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/deepbeats4 ) which was produced by DJ Sanj. Since that point Deep Cold has worked with Master Salim, Sonu Niggam, The Teflon Don, Sonny Brown, DJ Sanj/J-Nas, Diljit Singh, Jas Rai, Kamla Punjabi, Haji Springer and more.

More recently Deep Cold & Kamla Punjabi released two songs with Universal on their compilation 'Desi Hustle' - Siti Maar and Duniya. Deep Cold teamed up with Sonny Brown and The Teflon Don to form the group 3 SINGHS.

Features on the 3 SINGHS include Jas Rai, Ray J, Young Buck, Haji Springer and more.Never one to miss a beat, Deep Cold just wrapped up his solo album which is due May 2011. The Drip, Deep Cold's upcoming release, has music fans drooling. Never knowing what to expect from the man who calls himself Deep Cold aka Da 1 is a blessing within itself.

On his latest album The Drip, Deep Cold aka Da 1 wonders outside his realm and does what he does best; stuff he's never done. From the straight gangsta rap to the punjabi hip hop music he does so well, The Drip has it all. In addition the duo of Deep Cold & Kamla Punjabi are wrapping up their soon to be released album.

Final touches and some videos are in the making and this album is guaranteed to get them the recognition they deserve. The impact that Deep Cold has had on the fusion between East and West has yet to be realized. But rest assured, the only thing that means is that we have a bright future!!!!!
