Having released his groundbreaking album 'Maujan' in November 2008, it took a while for your average Bhangra fan to get to know the name 'Baljit Malwa'. His song 'Chabi' has become the official wedding anthem of 2009 and is set to continue that sucess into 2010.

Baljit Malwa is set to take part in his first ever UK performance at the ADH/AsianBall.com launch party in october 16th.

Check out this two part interview, were Baljit talks about his friendship with Surjit Bindrakhia, to why 'Chabi' was not considered a hit song + much more!

more question needed sukh n it is documantary not interview vry good kalakaar

Yeah more like a documentary, but interview sounds better I think.

We don't really have the resources or man power to have 'proper' tv interviews but we feel video interviews like this are better than text interviews.

A documentary would have been more in-depth.

Hopefully we'll get some more footage from Baljit Malwa real soon!

Quoting essien:
why is none of the simplybhangra team in any of these interviews, are your faces to ugly for camera?

Ha. Sorry I couldn't quite get time to fly over to New York to conduct this interview, nor do I have any real ambition to put myself infront of camera.
