Parveen: Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you do?

Veronica: I am a singer/songwriter from the UK.

Parveen: How did you come into the music scene and working with Rishi Rich productions?

Veronica: I started at the tender age of 16, when I meet Rishi.
I successfully auditioned for the part of female vocalist for the 2Kool album 2Kool Flavor. My first song I recorded was 'Sambala Hai Meine' with Kumar Sanu. I have always worked with Rishi and hence I am now signed to his label.

Parveen: Your previous album “Theen” was released in 2005, were you pleased with the overall impact of the album?

Veronica: Theen was my debut album & I am very proud of my hard work. It went double platinum in
India & I got to travel all over the world & perform my songs.

Parveen: Currently you are in the process of working on a new album called “Miss V”, releasing sometime in February 2009, do you see this new album as a crossroad in your career?

Veronica: Yes definitely, I am working extremely hard on my forthcoming album 'Miss V' I want it to be perfect & have a massive impact on the industry.

Parveen: Your new album sees you working with a number of producers, who are they all?

Veronica: I am working different producers from the
UK.... Rishi Rich, Swami, Alan Sampson, Rax Timyr, Bee 2 & Taje.

Parveen: Can we expect some vocal collaboration on the album?

Veronica: I have had the opportunity on this album to collaborate with, H Dhami, Rafaqat Ali Khan, Hunterz & Mumzy.

Parveen: The whole vibe of this album seems to come across much more “mature”, is this what you are trying to portray?

Veronica: Not all the album is very young & fresh in tune with the younger generation & bringing different genres of music together like Bhangra, pop, Bollywood & R n B. There are some deep songs on the album that I'm sure the more mature audience will appreciate.

Parveen: What made you work with other producers rather than simply stick to Rishi Rich producing the whole album?

Veronica: There are many talented producers in the
UK & I wanted to use the opportunity to collaborate & push my writing ability to another level.

Parveen: Since leaving 2.9, Rishi Rich has gone into bigger things, now teaming up with Anu Malik. Can we expect you on some Bollywood sound tracks anytime soon?

Veronica: Most definitely, I have just done a song for the Movie 'Toon Pur Ka Super Hero' Starring Ajay Devgan & Kajol. Another Movie is 'Kumbukt Ishq' I've done a song called 'Freedom' & that's starring Akshay Kumar & Kareena Kapoor.

Parveen: Being that Bollywood is bringing a lot of talent into its industry from foreign countries like America, as far as music goes, it has improved quiet a bit by bringing American artists into the Bollywood scene of music, and could we expect to see you working with any American music artists in the future?

Veronica: If the opportunity is there then most definitely I don't see why not.

Parveen: There are many people who look up you as a Role Model, how do you feel about this?

Veronica: I'm very flattered. It’s a good feeling to know people look up to you. I always try and be a positive role model especially to my younger fans.

Parveen: Thank you very much for taking the time out for the interview, Veronica, Is there any message that you would like to say to the thousands of simplybhangra.com fans out there?

Veronica: Thank you so much for your love & support I couldn't do it without you.
