Quoting Balwinder Singh Rai:
The reason why he sounds bad on the track and good in the kavishri video is he has to follow a sur in the studio where in kavishri all you follow is your patner. This makes a very big difference if singer is not use to singing in studio. Dj rag is not producer? So what is he then?

He's the guy that paid another guy to do the job for him.

He seems much more comfortable singing in the Kavishri pitch.

But, you giving that link raises so many mixed reactions in me, how can man go from praising the panth to singing about 'sharabi' etc...yes singing in bhangra is financially better but theres a lot of things you can sing about without degrading yourself and your morals!
People need to stay in their lane...i hate the mixed messages artists give out and hes not the only one...Jazzy B, Jaz Dhami, Chamkilla etc...
One of the artists i respect is Kaka Mohanwalia, he does the sikh side and the bhangra side but both are done at a respectful level and dont contradict one another.

I honestly don't think much of this track (The bhangra track). However, se the link below or just click on this one:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey6DXX7Fc9k

This shows the true power of his singing ability. He is a kavishri singer and just listen to his improvisation. Talented!!

Even though he could had sung both the bhangra track and the kavishri in lower notes instead of constant high pitch you can't really point a finger in his singing.

If just one guy from UK (besides few talented like JK) can sing like that in lower notes (since high pitch singing is quite difficult), then you UK people would had known what singing is about, what it means to LEARN to sing and NOT having your famous father or family members making sure you enter the industry and what HARD work means.

I usually don't like high pitch singers, solely because of their overuse of high pitching singing for the sake of it. But Manjit Sohi in the kavishri video just killed it.

God bless this Singh!!
